Webster Street, Bay St Louis, MS
Bought in June 1999 and sold in 2001, this 1920's home on the Mississippi coast later survived Hurricane Katrina. It is about 1/2 mile from the Bay. Because it sits on piers and is on the elevated side of the street, it suffered minimal flood damage. Our old neighbor's house across the street had 7 feet of water rush through it and required extensive renovation.

The walls in this bathroom were made of plaster that
was scored to imitate the then-popular rectangular subway tiles. Layers of
paint filled in the lines, and had to be stripped off to reveal the "faux" tile.

This wall unit was made by the well known Hoosier
company, as indicated by the H on the door latch.
